Hi, Some of the brushhogs offer different transmissions for above and below 50 HP. Bill

Your tractor should be able to pull a 6' light/medium duty Bush Hog. As long as you are not into very heavy brush. The extra weight is going to be your problem. Your front end may come off the ground with out front mounted weights. What type of tractor do you have? I have seen a MF 135 pull a 6' with no problem. Charlie

I have an MF2200 with a frontend loader. It has a Z134 continental and a 3pt rear lift.

I am not real fimilar with that model. I am guessing it is a compact tractor. I know the loader will help keep the front end down, when lifting up the Bush Hog. Check the lifting capacity of the 3pt hitch and look at the weight of the Bush hog. You may not be able to cut very thick stuff (it may stall your tractor). I use a Heavy Duty Alamo 6' Bush Hog behind my MF 165 dsl. This bush hog is very heavy!!!! The front of my 165 gets a little light. It really going to what you want to cut??? (Grass, Pasture, etc) How thick does it get??
Hope this helps

I have a MF-65 that is 48 horse at the motor and 41 on PTO and I pull a 6' Brushog and in tall heavy or wet grass I find my self down in second sometimes first but that is heavy grass on the pasture that did not grow back well this summer due to drought I was up in fourth.

Does your MF 65 have high/low trans?? I was just woundering beacuse of your post. Because of the gears you pull in. My 165 has a ligh/low trans. which gives me 8 forward and 2 reverse speeds. I usally pull in 5th gear (1st high) but it all depend on how heavy the grass, brush, etc is. Have a nice day and Thanks

MF 2200 is another Industrial model similar to a MF2135 or MF 20. gas is 37 hp .If a MF135 is large enough for a 6' BH the MF 2200 should work also
