Started working on my old Massey. Initially, it would turn over, but not start. Now for some reason, it won't turn over. Have rebuilt starter, replaced solenoid, replaced key switch, replaced starter button, replaced coil. Do not see any shorted out places and the strater will "bump" when I hold the cables directly to the poles. Any ideas? Thank you.

I would guess bad starter cable connections, and at the battery posts too. Ge out some emery cloth and clean everything up till it shines and then clamp all conections down tight and twisting the connection while you're doing it. And if it is a 6V system, make sure you use size 0 or 1 cables. The types you buy for your 12V car don't cut it since they draw more amps than the 6V system has to offer.
