Could be a whole lot worse, right? I had to give up on ever using the wiring conduit on the outside of the fenders. Shorts were throughout our tractor. Old brittle insulation and poor connections. Keep us informed about your progress. There is a photo of mine in the gallery.
It isn't painted just right, but it has a good personality. LOL Mike D.

Have you gone into the archives of this forum? I found a lot of info there before I bought mine. Parts are still out there, but getting harder to get. I've been looking for over a year for some pieces. Ours is up & running, and it is still being used. Ours is a high arch model. Good luck to you, and don't let the purists keep you from using it for what it was built for.

Unless you KNOW Triple 3&4's,you are starting too
advanced. These five color,multi-featured models
need precise detail. If running, best to inspect
everything for noise, leaks, vibration,etc.
Beginning with a more basic MH, like a '50 44 RC,
would give you a 'feel' for the project. The 444
is easy to hack up, when you can't find a part to
finish something correctly. Post the S/N, your
experience on MH.We can't build you a two bay shop
with notes, or put everything on 444's here, to
enlighten you. IF a 444RC, you have a beautiful tractor beneath the faded paint, dirt, rust. Correct
information is lacking, a 444 site, 5(?)years in
the making is still missing. A few great photos of
444's in the Y.T. Board, 'Bub' Robbins has done a
fine job on that 444, in 'Tractor Photos'. There are people here who know Triples, and pecking out
words to answer 1000 questions is impractical. We
want to save these real Massey's, but time pulls
us to other committments. Location? Good luck.
