I just purchased an MF-35. I was trying to find out what year it was. What is the best way to do so?

Find the serial number, probably on the right side of the dash, below the throttle on a plate that is riveted to the dash. Then go to www.tractortips.com and enter the required info, it will give you the serial numbers by year. C. T.

I looked on the dash, just under the steering wheel and got the serial number and I looked on this web site. My serial number wasn't listed. I went back to the tractor again and noticed it said on the hood that it was a diesel deluxe. Does that change the serial number somehow.

The serial number on my MF 35 is on a plate on the left side underneath the steering wheel near the ignition switch. Copy down the number on your MF 35 and look under "Serial Numbers" on this web site. I beleive the numbers run from the years 1960 thru 1964. My MF-35 is a 1961..

Ric,
Go back and try again. There are different serial Nos for U.K. and U.S.A. built tractors. Perhaps you were looking at the wrong list.

Good idea C.T. The SN# 213268. The decal on the hood is just about worn off but it does say diesel deluxe.

Ric, www.tractortips.com shows that yours is a 1961. The 1961's started with 211071 and the 1962's started with 222207. C. T.

Now I will try to get a manual for it? What type do you recommend? I beleive it has a hydraulic problem because it shakes a little if you raise a box scape with it. Hope it will nt be nothing major. Thanks again for your help.

Ric, This site has good manuals available. Just scroll to the top of this page. I also bought a video tape about hydraulics, how to remove, overhaul, and replace on a MF 35 tractor. It is also available on this site under "Marketplace" then "Videos". The video was excellent for somebody that is not mechanically challenged as I am. Good luck. C. T.
