I am think of buying a 555 Lp that is susposed to run.The paint isn't to bad,has good tires. This tractor has good sheet metal, good chrome, power sterring, almost new 18.4 34s,on the rear. The problem is the frame is broke, both sides, but, there is a doner tractor with good frame(also 555LP).The guy said the seal is bad on the main transmission shaft,I guess from tractor sagging in the middle. What would this tractor be worth & is this worthwhile. Thanks

Unless your eager for busy work, on an elephant, you face a considerable amount of sweat labor,to
do this 'project' correct. These red "Big Boys"
can go sour fast, so it's short money, or pass.
Better to tear down both tractors, assemble one,
on a budget. What then? Do you want big power,
with few features? Not the first choice in MH's,
a 44 Special, S/N 56601 & up, gives you Hitch-All,
a wide variety of options. Two 555's? Ceiling for
LP, a Grand? Not my Grand. Good luck.

if the price is right drop the motor in the other tractor if it is mostly complete. i would say that 1200 for the two would be far, depends on condtion of corse
