Does anyone know what year this tractor is by this 399109 serial number off the plate on the left hand side of the frame.I just bought this tractor, and were not even sure of the model # is correct, how do you know? any help would be appreciated.

That number doesn't show up for a model 30 on any lists I have here. Could be for a model 101 Junior and if so, it would be a 1942 model. Does your tractor have hinged sidepanels. If so it's the 101 Junior. The 30 had a one (unhinged) piece hood cover and sidepanels together.
