I have a nice old 135 Massey F. It has run beautifully for years. About 4 years ago, it decided to run for about 20 minutes and stop. I let it cool for half an hour....and it'll run for another 15 minutes or less. I've had two tractor companies work on it..... lots of money, but it still has the same problem. The gas is clean, I have new filters.....my tank has been rebuilt and looks like new. One mechanic disconnected the fuel hose immediately after the tractor stalled....no gas was flowing to the carburetor. After a minute or so the gas flowed again. Something is causing the gas to not get to the carburetor.....????? The tank is a gravity flow tank. No one seems to have a solution. I bored an extra hole in the gas cap...I even left the cover off of the tank. No improvement. Anyone out there that has ever had a similar problem? I need help! I could use your suggestions.

I just had the same problem with my old Farmall. I worked on it for months before I finally took off the sediment assembly. Even though I thought I had cleaned it it turned out that it was clogged up with sediment. I replaced the whole unit ($24) and it cleared up the problem. I wasted all that time and energy because I did not look at the obvious solution. I am sure it is a clogged filter. Good Luck from the "Farmall Site"

My Dad had an old Ford dump truck that did the same thing. I removed the fuel line and blew air backwards into the gas tank. Gas then would come down for a little while and stop. I would drive the truck about 100 yards then it would stop again. Basically if the truck sat for a while it would crank and run 5 or 10 minutes then stop. We finally removed the fuel tank and found a plastic bag like you get at the grocery store in the tank. Hope this helps...
