I saw a Massey today, at first glance it looked like a 33 but when you got closer it looked to small for that. It had a flat head 4 cyl. and the engine data plate said " The Lincoln Electric Motor Co." . Anybody have a clue what this tractor was. Thanks

If it looks like a 33 then you probably have a model 30, they were similar to the 33 but used the Continental flathead 4 cylinder engine that was on a ton of Masseys and other agricultural tractors and implements, etc. Also was used on Lincoln welders for years and years. I would guess your engine has been transplanted from a Lincoln welder. It's either a 124, 140, or 162 cubic inch version (all the same engine block). If it's not a 30 then it could be an earlier 101 or 102 Junior, or perhaps (doubtful) an 81, 82, 20 or 22. Those last 4 have a steel channel iron front frame while the 30, 101 and 102 had a cast iron front tub.
