when i got this mh 44 with h260 engine... it has never ran that hot at all... i suspect theres no thermostat in it... i could cut 10 acres thick bushes in summer time and i have never see the temp gauge go over 120 f and i could put my hand on the engine block after all that hardworking.. it was warm.. but not hot.. is this a good thing to do that? i read that mh 44 manual and it says do not run it cold or overheating... i have thermostat for it.. is it really a nesscarry to have it or not? wont hurt the engine running cold at all times?? no one knows for sure if its ok or not... any advices would greatly appricate it!

thanks! shannon

a cold running engine will build up a lot of crud on the in side and will have more condensation on the in side because they will not dry out because of low temp.they will run better at a constant temp.the book says 180 for temp.
