where do i look for it on what i think is a colt tractor? also if its a colt was just curious how many of them were made? thanks

If the serial number tag is missing that is riveted to the side of frame, the number is also stamped on the top of transmission case. On the large tractors it is stamped on the top left side of transmission case, between the cover that goes over the rear end part of the case and the smaller cover that goes over the transmission part, right behind the belt pully/pto shift lever.I never looked for the numbers on the small tractors but it shoukd be on the top of the case . If that number starts with 21 followed by G and other letters your tractor is a Colt. The G is for gas, it should be followed by 1RF if it is a row crop, and then the serial number.
