i run across a tractor today ,the owner thinks its a mustang. it has 11.2 28 rears and an adjustable wide front axle the motor # is (by memory) mf124g horizontal exhaust , it has 3 point hitch 4 speed gearbox with a crooked shifter going to the right . I dont know anything about massey harris i like farmalls but i like the look of this tractor and the price is decent. Where do i find the serial #? going through the archives now and some other sites . if someone could tell me what it is from this description? thanks

What i forgot to say was the wheel hubs slide on the rims after losen the bolts. The 333.444.555,Massey Harris 50 have power adjusted wheels or rims. the Mustang does'nt. 1958 Massey Harris and Ferguson divisions of Massey Harris Ferguson came together to become Massey Ferguson.

Does your rear axle shaft end have a large nut on the end? Mustang you can't slide your rims on the axle shaft. You have to unbolt your hubs from the rims and slide your rims in and out or rotate your wheels with dish in to have wide spand on the back the back axle. The mustang has 140 cid and the colt has 124 cid engine. My Mustang has 13.6x28 rims and 3 point hitch,no pto spline on the back and no belt pulley or shaft. It has 140 cid engine and horizontal muffler on top of exhaust mantifold. It has large axle nuts and dish star shaped hubs. I can't slide the hubs on the axle shaft. The Colt,Mustang,Pacer,Pony,333,444,555,MH50 were all made at the same time period or the same series. The last before becoming Massey Ferguson.

The Colt would have a 124 ci engine and the Mustang would have a 140 ci engine. I think they are the same tractor except for engine size. the Colt is also refer to model 21 and the Mustang model number 23.
