I am considering the purchase of a MF 165 )with loader) and am wondering how adaptable it is to add various attachments. Namely, a small backhoe, a trench digger, and a log splitter (hydraulic). I would appreciate any input that might help me better determine if this is the machine for me. Thanks

Mark

I have a 165 gas, used to have loader, but has since then been removed. I suppose a backhoe isn't that far off, a neighbor has one on a small Ford, maybe 8-9n, something like that. It comes in pretty handy. Log splitters are nice, and I'm sure a trench digger could be made to fit also. It is a very handy tractor, and love it so much w/out a loader, but also loved it w/ a loader. One thing to looki out for on a loader tractor is the bushings in the front end and overall play in the steering. Loaders are hard on any front end, not just Massey's.
Goo luck, and have fun!!
