I have a neighbor who is looking to sell her late husbands Massey Harris 44GR tractor. (ser.12608)She has asked me what I think she could reasonably expect to get for it. I am not at all familiar with this brand, so am looking for any info. I can get. It runs, but is not in the best of shape otherwise. I think there is a trans. problem although her husband did use it before his death. We live in north central Illinois.

It would appear to be a later '49 production. No
central hydraulics? If the engine runs strong,
related components intact,working,(good manifold),
the engine assembly is worth up to $500.00. The
transmision problems, rim rot,checked tires,fair
sheet metal, oil leaks don't add much to value.
Bendix brakes, central hydraulics,raise interest.
Good luck.
