MF135 front wheel fluid ?

I have a MF 135 that has always run the front wheels dry (air only). I think my Dad did this because he usually had a front end loader on it and did not need the extra weight. I now usually have the loader off and when carrying 4x5 round bails on a 3pt. spear I need the extra weight. Is their any real disadvantage to putting fluid (water & anti-freeze) in them? Also, I usually run 30psi without the loader on and about 45psi when it is on. Will these pressures be ok with the fluid in the tires? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

You need to put a weight bar on the front and hang a few weight. My 135D would not be much good without it. I know from having a 165d with a loader that you don't need anything if the loader is on it. A regular 135 or 165 won't steer very good carrying a round bale or sprayer without weight on the front. Have a mounting bracket for the front end loader that adds a good bit of weight to the front and have thought about mounting a weight to the front bracket for the loader. Take the weight off when the loader is on. Tried the water in the tires and it made a big difference.

Yes - load them with fluid. - I even did it to my little B7001 Kubota and it feels better. Lowers the centre of gravity for the unit.

Did the fluid and it really helps the stability. Just did straight water to try it. So now I need to go back and put some antifreeze in them. Still looking at the possibility of adding a weight on the front of tractor. Maybe using the front bracket for the loader as a mounting point. Won't need the weight on when the loader is on.
