Is there a trick to get this hub to come off? We've tried heating the hub, cooling the axle, hitting it with sledgehammers, using a 20 ton jack sideways to apply pressure, and have gone through at least three cans of penetrating fluid and she still hasn't budged. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I got the one off my brothers 55 by making a heavy bar to bolt across the end of the axel and drawingf the bolts realy tight. The bar was 1 1/2" thick or 2". Whith the preasure on the axel I used an old tractor axel as a battering ram. The shaft was 3or4" in diamiter and three feet long, real heavy. With a few good blows and retightening the bolt it poped off.

I forgot to say run a tap in the holes to clean out the threads and lubricate the bolts you draw up the crossbar with. Good Luck

I sound silly saying it but I assume that you've removed the big axle nut. I believe that hub is mounted on the axle which is a "tapered" fit with the big keyway in there too. I knew a guy with a 44 that ended up trailering his tractor over to a heavy equipment shop and they put their big puller on the hub and popped it off. I guess that's not much advice for a do-it-yourselfer but it might be a long term solution if you can't budge it yourself.
