I am restoring the tractor that I "grew up" on.It is a Massey-Ferguson 50. It was delivered on the day I was born. Poor old thing needs a break. (Me, not the tractor) I have most of the original impliments that we used with it. The only thing I don't have, and wish to find, is the 6' cyclebar mower that Dad bought with the tractor. I remember that it was uctually a Ferguson, instead of MF, and was supposed to be a year older than the tractor.(model year) The tractor has a 1957 serial #. Does anyone have any info as to what model the mower could have been. I would like to use this tractor to cut the 25 acres of hay, that I grow. The mower would make that possible. I have several tractor "boneyards" near me, and a number of old dealerships, that just may have what I'm looking for. (If only I knew what it was I'm looking for?)

Ferguson made a Model FEO-35 and I have a copy of the Operating and Assembly Instruction that was copyrighted in 1955 by Massey-Harris-Ferguson Inc.Coming out of the Ferguson Division in Racine, Wisconsin. It is side mounted, you did not say if rear or side. Also have a copy of operating and assembly instructions for a "Agricultural Mower A-EO-B20 made by Harry Ferguson, Inc. out of Detroit. It was copyrighted in 1950. It is rear mounted. The MF135 that Bob is refering to is side mounted and is "Massey Ferguson" and not what you want, I think. The owners manual that I have of it is priced at $.75 and printed 10/62. That 135 starts into the "Dyna-Balance" body as the MF No. 31,a rear mounted, book printed in 11/60; Also made is a MF No. 32 rear mounted-owners manual printed 11-58; MF41 rear mounted steel body dyna-balance, book printed 10-69; Massey-Harris MH-60 rear mounted pitman driven;MF-71 side mounted dyna-balance cast body. and finally the MF-72 side mounted pitman driven. I think there even a couple that I don't know about. I hope Not to confuse, good luck.

Thanks for the help. Have you ever gone looking for help, only to figure things out before the help shows up? Well that's what happened here. I sent a letter to the guy we sold the mower to (years ago). He replied to me and offered to give me the mower back. It needs work now, but so does most of the stuff I drag home. Just to set the record straight, it was a model 32 mower. The parts man at the Agco dealership, tells me that this mower was most likely a year or two NEWER than the tractor. Once again, thanks to both of the responses on my search.
