Hi folks, My 1965 MF150 (gas engine) has rear rims and tires from a MF135 (14.9x24) They are shorter and wider than the normal tire fitted to this model (12.4x38) It came this way from the dealer when new. The tires and wheels have never been replaced.
Was this an option for the MF150, so it would be shorter, perhaps for orchard use?
Has anyone come across this kind of combination before?

This tractor was used for the first 20 years hooked up to a snow blower to clear a parking lot in winter only.
Thank you for your help.

Guy,
In response to Big Dean's post, I have a MF150 diesel,1965,row crop, he is right I believe they incorporated the rear from MF165 in the row crop version. Concerning the rear tires, I just had them replaced a couple of months back and the man said they looked to be the original tires and I replaced them with the same size 13.6 X 38. So it look's like the row crop came with this size.

You could get MF150 in a low profile I can remember the tire size on them but it could have been 14.9 x 24 or a high clearance it came with the 12.4 x 38 tires. The front axle had different length spindle on these 2 tractors. There was also an MF150 row crop tractor with the big rear end like the MF165 had. I have never saw one of them but know they had them.
