MF 300 Combine, when made?

When were Massey Ferguson 300 combines made?
I just bought a Chrysler industrial engine that came out of one. It's the "slant 6" engine made from 1960 through 1992. This one appears to be early 60's. I was hoping for 1967 or later because that is the year they changed the flange on the crankshaft. After I pull the bell housing and flywheel I can then know if it's before or after 1967 by the crankshaft flange.

From what I understand they started in 62 and ran to the late 70s. very modern machine for the early 60s. Good engine too. We have one if you need parts or the engine. I think it's a 67.

If you only need the Chrysler engine, it was used in Owatonna 700SP windrowers, vintage '69-'74. Old
parked, tired machines now. Perhaps an ad in the
Classifieds, at Y.T., with location may produce an
engine. Good luck on the one you have.

I said I just bought a running engine that I was told came out of a MF 300 combine. I am trying to figure out what year the engine was made. The year the crankshaft flange changed was 1968, not 1967 as I stated in my earlier message. Those "Slant 6" engines were used in many things from cars to boats, swathers, combines, fork lifts, and on and on.

Your post reads, you 'bought' it. We don't have a
clue if the flange change, or pre-change, could make the engine a boat anchor, for your unstated
application. Thus, the comment on another later
production machine, that should have the 'hoped
for' flange change you prefer. Chrysler should have some records on these engine #'s, or a parts
supply house for commercial old engines. We're
not selling anything here, just offering friendly
advice. I get plenty. Good luck
