MF 275 Power Steering Fluid Leak

I have a 1975 MF 275. Is there an "O" ring or gasket set to stop power steering fluid from leaking into the transmission? Every time I start the tractor, I have to add power steering fluid. The level of the fluid in the transmission gets too high thereafter showing visible leakage at the plate just behind the shifter. Somehow, adding fluid to the power steering pump is raising the level in the transmission. Can't say that I understand the connection between the power steering pump and the transmission. Any suggestions?

I can't figure out your 275 problem. My MF-690 works differently - on it the power steering fluid could leak into the engine, if pump needed rebuild. Recommend you buy 3 manuals. Get real MF brand (dealer has them here): Operator Manual, Parts Manual, and Repair Manual. You need all 3 and will find you are money ahead in the long run.

From reading a whole bunch of posts on this board regarding the MF 1xx through 3xx line of tractors (and others), apparently the power steering is and always has been a problem.
