I am in process of tearing down a MH 30 , it has an oil line leading from Hydraulic reservoir to engine block . what does this line do? Does engine oil mix with oil in tank? Stupid questions , but manual doesn't have answers.--Bill

The first guy was right. It is just a vent to insure that clean air replaces oil as it is pumped out of the system to prevent dirt build up in the hydraulic oil.

I have 2 30 tractors and the line you are talking about is a breather that goes from the top of the hyd. tank to the crankcase

That's a strange one ... exactly where on the block is this line going to (or coming from)? There are a few places on that block where oil lines are located, some under pressure and others for oil draining back without pressure. Maybe this would give us a clue. Make sure you remember right or left side and exactly where.
