I usually hang out on the Ford Board as I currently have a 2N for my acreage.

Someone in my town has a MF 65 for sale.
It is painted yellow, is a gas engine model.

It has a pretty sturdy MF Loader on it,that seems to run of a front mounted HD pump on the engine, and a rear standard hitch with a remote HD with 2 standard couplers.

The strange thing is that it has no PTO installed, (Cover Plate where one should go), and it also doesn't have a 3Pt hitch.

So, I'm assuming it's some kind of special purpose industrial model.

If I found the right parts at a wrecker could I reasonably easily get back 3Pt and PTO capability on this unit?

The guy who owns it is pretty proud of it, He's asking $3500.00 Cdn for the tractor and one of the very large rear tires is pretty severely weather checked on the sidewall and looks like it's got a slow leak.

Sheet Metal is all original, but pretty well beat up.

So is this tractor worth ~$2800.00 US as it sits ?
Thanks in advance for your responses ...

Thanks for the replies... So the work required to add the 3pt and PTO to a utility is probably not worth it is it ?
I'll keep my eyes open for a Farm Model, as it would suit my needs on my acreage better.

Lyle.

It all depends on what is there. Some of the Industrial tractors that did not have the pto & three point did come with the Hydraulic pump & liftcover with controls installed. One of those it would not be to bad to install the PTO & lift arms. If the Pump & liftcover is not there parts would be rather expensive. I am guessing probably at least $1500 to $2000 from a salvage I have not done one in over 10 years so really can't say for sure.

I've been away for a while. Do you know where a guy could find a rebuild kit for a MHF 50 hydraulic pump these days. I used to get parts from Central Tractor but guess they're gone.

Thanks in advance.

That is probably an MF65 Utility they were part of the industrial line of Massey Ferguson tractors it is not uncommon to find the industrial tractors without the three point & pto. It probably had a backhoe on it originally email me if I can be of further help.

Around here, it's worth the price you mentioned easily.

Especialy with a good loader, which it sounds like it has.
