I discovered a problem when I shifted my FE35 into gear with the clutch in. The tractor moved forward. I stood on the clutch & brake pedal but it still crept along. The pto lever engages freely into all 3 positions with the engine running and no use of the clutch. Previously the pto would grind a little if I didn't press really hard on the clutch. It had been running perfectly until I moved it a few feet with the emergency brake on. It has the 2 stage clutch & Standard diesel. Could this be an adjustmet fix, or a tractor splitter.

I'd try adjustment first. The clutch pedal is clamped to the clutch cross shaft at its front end. Slacken the clamp and put a bar (or large screwdriver) through the hole in the cross shaft. Turn it clockwise until it just contacts clutch plate (end of easy travel) then tighten the clamp again. You should have a little free travel between clutch pedal and footpeg when properly adjusted but you may need to make fine adjustment to get it right. If there's more that 1/8 - 1/4 inch free play at the moment that may be the problem.
