Tried my N-H 68 baler for the first time on the 44. The tractor governor surges when the baler starts to pick up straw. This tractor should have more than enough h.p. to run it. Whats up with this? Thanks

adjust the carb? might not getting enough gas? valves getting old? you can tell if you put in 5th gear , it should take off real good. if it is struggling in 5 gear , could be carb bad or just needed adjusting.... i was brush hogging i lost power and it just wont go.. adjusted the carb. it ran real good thats all it is... that carb could adjust itself and it wont run right... that screw under the bowl , it was so loose it turned itself around and made my tractor run awful...good luck...
