To-35 runs good for about 20 minutes and shuts off. I am about to give up on it. Is this major. I have put on new gas line , bowl from gas tank. I almost think it has nothing to do with the gas, what else could it be???

Are you ready for this! All the while I have been reaching out for help about my MF To-35 shutting off after about 20 or so minutes and got alot of wonderful responses from everyone, it is now fixed and fixed with a drink can. The metal fuel filter that I put on was up against the manifold and when it got hot it created a vaccum and stopped the gas flow. I placed a drink can in between the two and it runs until I shut it off. Now ain't that something. Thanks for all of your help.

Just passing through from the Ferguson forum but you might also change the ignition coil - they are famous for working fine when cold, and then breaking down when hot.

Checking them electrically is now a 'lost' art.

Good luck.

Is breather hole in tank cap clear? If not it might be getting to the stage that gas won't run out of tank because of vacuum forming. Other possibilty might be a vapour lock forming in a fuel pipe if its routed beside anything hot, particularly if it as also at a high spot in pipe run. Spark plug insulation could be breaking down when they get hot although that might be more likely to give a misfire.

And...? Don't know - just some guesses.
