My dad called today and asked if I've ever heard of a MF 300. He saw one advertised with a 1 yard bucket. I can't seem to locate anything about this tractor. Does it exist? Any help would be appreciated.

What motor is in ?
AD4203 ?
Could be MF 302/304; first one is manual shuttle, 304 has a torque; front wheels are very heavy; normally it comes with a front loader MF 300 and a rear backhoe MF325.
Also AD4203 : MF 3165, MF 30

Thanks Rog, the tractor is a MF302 with a 300 loader. What is the difference between the shuttle and the torque?
When you say heavy wheels, do you mean heavy duty, heavy - hard to stear, or heavy front end that will punch through soft ground and will require a larger tractor for removal?
Were they industrial or farm? Anything else would be appreciated. Thanks, Grant

I have one MF 302 , 300 loader and 325 Backhoe, with AD4203 engine. Basically it is a MF 165, converted to industrial use, by MF.
The heavy wheels on the front are to counter weight the backhoe. The MF 30A or B is very similar except that the front wheels are like an agricultural tractor because the backhoe is less heavy. The front wheels on my 302 weigh between 500 to 1000 lb each. The power steering handle that weight very easily. The transmission is classic MF 6 speeds. The manual shuttle is the lever on the left of steering wheel. Front position is rearward and back position is forward. You have to use the clutch each time you change direction. The 304 is supposed to be similar but use a torque converter(no clutch) like modern industrial tractors. My tractor is a 1969. Without backhoe you could have to look for wheels that are less heavy. The front wheels on MF 1085 are similar and I replaced them; I bought new MF 298 hubs, machined them to fit the seals and installed new rims. Probably it is possible to do it on the 302. Perhaps the specialists on this board can add more info since they know now that your tractor is a 302

The only MF300 I can recall was a crawler you could get them with a loader or a blade they have a AD4-248 Perkins diesel engine that is rated at 64 HP. Parts are very hard to find for them other than the engine parts.
