I have a '55 Ferg. TO-35 Deluxe (Gas) that is missing its tractormeter; however, the tractor is equipped with a 1 wire, 12 V alternator. Is it necessary to install a different type alternator if I install a tractormeter (and expect the tractormeter to function correctly)?

Jim:
Genesse products also sells both a tach and a tractormeter that works with the one wire alternator.

the tach must have an org generator with tach drive. i have a mf35 that i put a SUN tach in, snug fits in hole on mods required. cost about $40 at advance store. also search "denny's card shop" has websit, he has one electic with hourmeter builtin.
