how hard is to find 382 cu.in. gas 4 cylinders that goes with mh 55... i would like to find a good running engine.. maybe put in my mh 44.. will that work? it seems that all mh 33 44 55 share same engine block but different sleeve sizes.. but should work on any 33 or 44 or 55? i like lots of power! is it possible to be able to pull mh 44 sleeves h260 or h277 out and put mh 55 j382 sleeves in that block?

33/44/55 all have different blocks. 55 had the starter on the other side (will hit steering shaft) not sure on block hight, or if a 44 radiator will cool the bigger unit.

boy i wish i could remeber where i was when i seen that 382 diesel engine out of a 555 MH the 555 382 ran more hp than the 55's 382. i would like to now also if the engines are interchangable, i dont think that i would ruin a 44 buy puting a 55 engine in or ruin a 55 by takeing out the motor, but i would nt look down on some one thatwould. i think that if it was posible to make the 44's engine fit the sleeve i would do it. just my thoughts here.
