Hi, that "smarty pants" fae Scotland is right and by my records it is a very early 1960 therefore one of the first with the Perkins 3-152 engine which started with ser. no.166596. But why do you have U.K. spec tractors in North America? did they cost more originally or were home-grown 35's
the same price?

What do you mean U.K. specs? Was this tractor made in UK? It has Positive Ground which is not the norm in north america.

Rob, that's exactly what I mean. By the serial no. your tractor was built at Banner Lane, Coventry, England. where positive earth was the norm. in 1960.

Hi Rob
You have a 1960 FE 35, should be grey tin and bronze castings.
If you want further info, just email me as I restored one last year.

Don't think it will be grey and gold ( or bronze), not in 1960. If it is a 1960 tractor it will be a Massey Ferguson 35 and be red and grey. Massey Ferguson came into being in late 1957

Be sure, it is be a red and grey one. The gold / grey color was changed to red and grey in very later 57. MF sold several Banner Lane (UK) built 35s in Canada, even with the 4Cyl. Standart engine. But I think not in the States. You know more guys?
