While running my 135 yesterday, I noticed the oil pressure gauge appeared to be pegged all of the way up. Can't give a number for the prssure; the gauge is only divided by hash marks. It has the Continental 3-cylinder and I had checked the oil before running the tractor ( as always ) and added about half a quart to bring the level to the full mark. So I don't think I overfilled the crankcase and I have not seen any leaks from seals subsequent to this. What else should I be looking for? Thanks for the advice. Glenn

If you have a 3 cylinder it's a Perkins. My oil pressure has run at the end of the green scale for over 25 years. After working it fairly hard the oil pressure comes down to about 1/4 of the scale at idle but goes right back up when you speed it up again. Just recently my temp. gauge doesn't go down all the way after the engine cools. It appears to still go up slightly when warm. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't know if the gauge and sending unit are seperate or if the whole assembly comes complete? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Dave

Glen: I have a 135 with a perkins Diesel. The oil pressure on it runs high, better than 3/4 and more like 7/8's of the scale. Could be that you don't have a problem....

My 135 Perkins diesel also is like Bills', running 3/4 to 7/8, a little higher when high rpm's and oil not hot. At idle it will come down to app. 1/2 scale.

Mine used to run at about 1/2 but then decided to run at 7/8s too. Everything seems to be ok though.
