While slashing with MF 165 the PTO, while in Proportional Engine Speed (P.E.S.), suddenly stopped working and the hydraulics also stopped working so that I couldnt operate the 3 point linkage, however the PTO will operate while in Proportional Ground Speed (P.G.S.). When placed in P.G.S. and move forward then slip into P.E.S. and while the PTO shaft is still rotating, the 3 point linkage will lift until the PTO shaft stops spinning, but wont hold. Is there anything inside the transmition such as a shear pin / sleeve that may stop P.E.S. & hydraulics from working?????

Sounds like the live drive bit of the dual clutch has failed. If you take off the side cover (where pto lever is) you may be able to see that things are not turning when they should be. I think after that you'd be looking at splitting the tractor to check out the clutch. There is a shear coupling in the transmission but I'm pretty certain its at the rear of the pump and would disconnect the drive wheels if it sheared. You can see it with the the side cover off.
