i am looking at a MF 230 was wondering whay years were they made?, horsepower? where would i find the serial number?, and were they a good tractor thank you oh yeah its a diesel

I have a 230 with the perkins diesel and really like the tractor, The horsepower is closer to 40, Big Dean has helped me fix a couple issues on mine but it has 5000 hrs and still runs very strong, If it is in good condition I don't think you will find a better tractor for the money, Maybe even twice the money :-)

According to tractortips.com, they were manufactured 1976-1983, the serial number is left of steering column, below the instrument panel. The pto hp is 34.53 and the drawbar hp is 28.3. C. T.
