Hydraulics on my FE35 are weak. There is minimal oil leakage from the lift cylinder and relief valve is not leaking. My conclusion is that the pump is worn. My questions which are:

1. Will the pump overhaul kits on the market fit this early type of pump. (it is the kind that does not have a filter element attached to it and is therefore different to even the Mk1 pump fitted to later 35s. It is also different to T20 pumps.)

2. Would a later pump from a 35 or 135 fit instead? I suspect I may just have to take it out and compare unless someone else has done this swap.

I think a later pump might fit. I purchased the hydro repair video from this board and they mention the older vs newer pumps. To demonstrate, they took a pump out of a 35 and replaced it with a later 50 pump. I would recommend the video.
