Does anyone know how you determine what color the engine should be on a 1953 Massey Harris Pony Red or Black? Thanks

Dave, research done by others has proven that prior to 1949 almost all M-H tractors had motors painted black including starter, generator, air filter, fan & carb. After that they were painted same as remainder of tractor, red. Rumor has it that Continental painted motors black at factory & M-H installed them as received.
