Looks as if you have a 44 special. Some 10,719 were made, unless the tractor you have is a hi- crop or cane version, then it is very rare. Only a handfull were made and most were recalled. I cannot find that massey made a wheatland tractor in that year. Hope this helps.

The tractor is not a hi-crop, the rear fenders cover the tires about 1/3 the way around, and have a small platform between them. It has a wide front. Also the rear axles use a big nut to hold the wheels on. I don't know alot about Massey's I got this one over in Iowa on my way home from a sale.

The engine says 277. Is this a good engine? What are the bore@stroke?
