Clutch not disengaging

I am not able to completely disengage the clutch on my MF35. THe clutch pedal seems to be adjusted properly as the PTO clutch disengages at nearly full travel. In order to use it, I have to basically go to low idle, shift into gear with the hi-lo in neutral. Then shift to hi or lo. Of course, my foot has to be on the brake! Reverse and 1st are pretty easy to get, 2nd and 3rd are nearly impossible. Is there a way to adjust the clutch or is the clutch plate warped? Secondly, is it worth the money saved to break it apart and work on the clutch if adjustment doesn't work and where can I find a good repair manual?
Thanks in advance

Hi Jim

When tractor is in gear and moving does it stops
when you press cluth. Are you familar with this
tractor or if you recently purchased it.

You may have a cluth defect but just in case...

These tractors does'nt have synchromesh to stop
gears turning immediately when pushing the lever
in gear.

When you use the tractor let the shifter in gear wait that the tractor is totally stopped before moving the shifter to another gear espescially if you go forward to reverse and vice-versa.

If in neutral push the cluth 3 to 5 seconds
before putting in gear to let gears time to
stop.

If you have tractor for long time and it worked
OK before please disregard this message.

Good Luck
