I have a MF 204. The hydraulic pump, running off the front off crankshaft through front spindle, blew the front seal. This pump is used for the lift arms. After removing the pump, I found the woodruff key, on that pto shaft, spun out and forced the seal out place. The woodruff key is holding a small circular brass piece. My questions is: Is there suppose to be a bearing there? Does anyone have an illustrion of this shaft/pump? Thank you.

there is no bearing in front of that pump the only thing it could be is part of a bushing inside of the pivot point of the wheels.

Hello Michael,

Hate to tell you this, but Very Few people
post to questions that seem to apply to the MF-204 tractor. I don't know if it is just
me who thinks this or if it is truth. I too
have a MF-204 Industrial Backhoe and have tried
to get feedback from this forum with very few
results. You best bet is to find someone who will take the time to share info with you ... and that is hard to come across. I would help you but I just got into this tractor 4 months ago ... first tractor ever. I found only one man willing to answer my question faithfully. I can send you the scanned pages from the Shop/Service Manual I have (PDF format) but I will need to send them one page at a time since you have a hotmail account... email limit on size.

I will try one page first ... there is only two pages in this manual that really apply to your issue. I can also scan the parts manual I have and email that too if you would like.
