I want to put a front mount pump onto my 1085 D / cab tractor to boost a weak hydraulic pump . Too much money to split it , maybe this would solve things in the short term , any ideas?----Bill

Bill,

My advice is to split the tractor; my 1085 had a double pump replacing the original power steering pump; the first stage is used for power steering, the other is used for remotes. Oil is taken from the read-end case.
When I split the tractor, I saw a lot of brasing on piping and the auxilliary pump had been removed. Obviously the problem had been fixed by an hair brain mechanic.

Finally I installed a brand new power steering pump and a second hand auxilliary pump. Now everything is okay.
RLACH.
Sorry for the bad english
