I took mine to a local parts store ( not a chain store). He sent them off to a place in town ( Pittsburgh, PA ). Had them back in two days good as new for much cheaper than I could just buy the lining for, not to mention the rivets and time to do it myself. Had the drums turned and she brakes like a new one.

I had my M F dealer get new linings for mine this winter, a little more cashy than I liked but after so much looking I just bit the bullet and order them. I had no trouble riviting them on the shoe.

For the cost involved with getting a professional brake/clutch shop (not the Midas-type places) to do that work, I wouldn't even consider trying to do it myself. Make sure though that the linings on the brake shoes (or band) is not too thick. Some of the older stuff was 1/4" I think and many places have 5/16" as the thinnest stuff they stock.
