Hi

I have a MF-135 gas (1966) for six months now
I done several adjustments and changed some parts
It is in very good condition now. There is a last thing to do...verifying oil level in steering
box (no power steering). I removed the bolt shown
in maintenance manual as oil level verification point. But the bolt hole seems to be threaded
all the way and I do not see orifice communicating
with the oil bath.

Thanks in advance

Joe that bolt hole should be open all the way into the inside of the steering gear box. when the oil reaches that level in the gear box the oil should run out through that bolt hole.

Many thanks Big dean !
Wow....fast reply !

I will verify again with a wire
some sludge may be inside the hole.

Thanks to share your knowledge with all of us.
