I have a 44-6 that I am planning on selling. I hate to part it out but am not sure if there is much demand for them. It runs, we have used it to push snow with this winter. It needs an exhaust manifold and someone cut part of the hood out but it could be restored. Any ideas of which would be the best way to sell it? I have sunk too much into it to give it away.

Any 44-6,esp. one that runs, is worth some $. Just over 6,650 made, and only gas jobs. Wish you were closer, but do I need two? Good luck.

Thanks Jim

This one runs, we used it to push snow this winter. It needs an exhaust manifold, brakes, and don't go into first very good. It will junp out because it don't feel like it is going all the way in. Soneone also cut away some of the hood since the exhaust manifold was rotted out. I need to adjust the valves . It has a wide front end.

I grew up using a 44 Special to farm with in Nebraska. My father still has it as a matter of fact. I need a work horse that I can get parts eaisly for. This is a good tractor for a collector, which I would be if I could afford to be. I just bought a Case DI and have a Farmall H and bought two JD A bucket tractors to rebuild. Bucket, as in, five gallon buckets, not bucket and loader tractors. Wife says something needs to go. I hope it's not me!

Why not try a local "free ads" paper, or the classifieds right here at YT. There are over 1200 ads here so somethings must sell. Good luck with your sale.

Tony,
I'm looking for a 44-6 similar to what you are describing. Something that runs, needs fixing, but won't take an arm, leg, wife to get into good shape. (I have that wife thing, too.) Problem, Maine isn't close to anywhere. No anyone that runs a truck to the midwest? Herman
