TO35 leak in Bellhousing

I have just purchased a TO35 Deluxe that had the engine rebuilt by a supposeably qualified mechanic. With the bell housing inspection cover removed, I get a drop of oil every 4 seconds and it increases with the RPM. The mechanic said the rear seal takes a while to seat. It has only ran for about 3 hours. Will the leak get any better? I'm worried about oil collecting in there. I can not find the peep hole that is referenced in this forum in other discussions. Should I be concerned?

Open oil-filling-cap while engine is running and see if it is pressure. Check if it still dripping.

When I open the oil filler cap, the leaks stops. With it installed, it leaks out the bellhousing, dipstick, oil breather hose and distributor. Help!!

When I open the oil filler cap, it has some suction. It didn't appear to reduce the leak, though.

I am not sure about your seal, but the weep hole is at the lowest point in the bell housing. There should be a cotter key dangling through it. It looks a bit like a pair of wasp wings.
