I HAVE A MF 135, 175, & 1085 ALL 3 TRACTORS 3 PT. HITCHS LEAK DOWN AT IDLE, & I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY ADJUST THE CONTROLS LEVERS WHEN SOMETHING HEAVY IS ON THEM. COULD THIS BE CONTROL VALVES OR A TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT.

Two things come to mind right away,
1) The lift piston's rings are worn and allowing enough hyd fluid to leak past that, at idle, the pump isn't delivering sufficient flow to hold the load.
2)The Draft Control Lever and Position Control Lever linkages are out of adjustment, so you are not moving the control valve roller to the correct position for transport.

As an afterthought; when was the last time you changed the hyd filter that sits in all that fluid beneath the lift cover? That solved a whole bunch of intermitent and erratic problems for me with a MF 35. Good luck, keep us posted on your solution. Jim

You may be using the system incorrectly,if the tractor is used in 'position' with the 'draft'lever in the raised position at all times the linkage should maintain a set hieght at all times,it will correct it's self automaticly even if the cylinder is leaking. The system should hold the links stationary in 'draft'when the 'position' control is in 'transport' and the 'draft' control is between the sector marks- but it will not self correct in 'draft'. If this is not the case then suspect the internal linkage is worn and needs resetting.
