I have 58 model 555 diesel standard serial # 23655 and was wondering what the last serial number of the last one made? How many did they make total?

Thanks for the help!

The info I have on the model-555 shows the serial numbers start in 1955 at 20,001 and go to 23,794 in 1958.The 555's are the same as the 55.The major changes were in the color scheme and the chrome was added.

The numbers say 139 were made, after your 555. All
subject to dispute, since Massey-Harris was the early 'outsourcer' of components. Dates often meant little, as the 782(?) Triple 5's, from '58,
may well be NOS, assembled in late '57, perhaps
ending in January,'58? Records were trashed, parts tossed into the scrap bin. This has to rate
as the most mismanaged major AG company, of any.
We can only shake our heads, asking "Why?" They
lost everything of intrensic value. Sad story.

Thanks, I knew they didn't make too many. I just brought this 555 home and real happy with tractor. Motor runs like a top and trans. feels like new. Hour meter show 2,800 and is still working. A diesel mechanic owned it for years.
PS pump leaks and will need to be looked into.
