Deluxe= Spin out wheels, dual stage clutch, foam float seat. Most diesels (mine included) had the seat and clutch as standard. The "x" 35 had the diff lock as standard but no lights or tach. The diff lock, seat and Multi-Power were seperate options that seem to be available on several types. Hope this helps

The MF35 Special (that's what the non-deluxe version is called) has a single clutch, a Ground speed PTO, driven by the tranny so it only moves when the wheels turn, and will turn backwards when you back the tractor up, and sparse instrumentation. The deluxe version has 2 types of PTO, the ground speed and an engine driven one that always turns with the engine, even when not moving, and doesn't turn backwards when backing up. The PTO selector lever on the left side of the tranny will have 2 positions, gound PTO and engine PTO. The clutch will be dual stage. The first stage for shifting gears, then a noticeable stop in the pedal, then the PTO part of the clutch. Just step on it and you'll feel it. The deluxe also has full instrumentation, engine temp, oil pressure, fuel level, and ammeter, plus the tractormeter.

Someone correct me because I may be wrong. It seems that I recall that there was no 35 Deluxe in a Diesel, even though it had the same features of the Deluxe. That is what I recall from an old MF35 brochure.

Again, someone correct me if I am wrong - again ;-)

My 35 is a diesel, supposedly a deluxe. I have dual clutch, the previously mentioned gauges, differential lock, and a fourth item that I don't recall at the moment.

Ali, I am not a farmer, so I haven't seen it for a couple of months. Is it the high/low range?
Thanks, C. T.

C.T. I hope you're not missing your tractor too much! I imagine the High/Low 'box is common to all MF tractors and later TO tractors but your U.S. models see to differ some from our U.K. ones. Keep thinkin'! What do you use your 35 for if you haven't seen it for months? Cheers! Ali.

Ali, Maybe the seat and headlights. I have five acres and a 300 foot gravel drive, plus my neighbor is older and has 2.5 acres to brush hog.
