I have an oil leak from the P.T.O. of my MF35. Can the seal be easily replaced? Do I need any special tools to take the old seal out and install the new seal? Are there snap rings in there that I need a tool to remove? Any tips or suggestions for a not too mechanically inclined tractor owner? Am I better off getting a mechanic to do this or is it fairly easy?

I had the same problem with a MF135. Jack tractor or ramp so its butt sticks up in the air to stop oil draining. Remove big 4 nuts securing the inner assembly. remove assembly with a seal puller. Use a vice to hold assembly and replace old seal. Fit new O ring to outside of assembly. Put some gaffer tape over PTO spline - oil and slide new seal over and back into place.
