I just purchased a industrial MF 2135 with a loader. It has a 4cyl gas continental engine with a hi-low trans,3pt.& live pto, & locking diff. I plan on doing alot of grading around the house & moving some top soil & sand. Also I would like to fill in a 450 ft. driveway with crushed stone with it. Plus later I'll have a pond dug-out, & I plan on moving all the excess dirt into other areas.

Can anyone give me any advise on how to use it correctly. What to watch out for, maintenance tips.ect... Is this a good tractor? I paid $4,400 for it. It is clean & not abused. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I added two chains from the lower lift pins to the upper support pin on the tractor. They hold the weight once the hydraulics lift the load as well as keep it from swinging once the tractor gets moving. This "tool" has done more for my 2135 than anything else.

I have one and got a GREAT deal at $3500. I've replace both rear tire bladders and one rear tire but otherwise have had real good use from mine. I've done a lot of clearing with mine and have learned several things that greatly improve this tractor's handling.

#1 tip - DON'T tip the front bucket too far over when you are pushing heavy material. I did, and busted the hydraulic cylinder on my loader bucket. Keep the bottom of the loader bucket nearly level with the ground and you'll be fine. Even 15 degrees over is fine but don't try to use it like a dozer blade.

#2 tip - That loader is real heavy and the tractor has a hard time getting traction when the bucket is over 1/4 full. My rear tires were always "paddle wheeling" and I could hardly get out of my own way. This was WITH both rear tires filled with 50 gal (650 lbs.) of Cacium Chloride in each. I made a 750 lb. counterweight out of 2/3 of a 55 gal. drum (filled with concrete) with mounts for my 3 point hitch. I can get that big loader about 3/4 full of dirt and rock now.

Does your 2135 have the differential lock? That's a great feature for getting UN-stuck.

I'll find the pics of my counterweight and post it to follow.
