I'm about to purchase a 1961 MF 35, Perkins, that looks great and I'm excited. But I really need a loader to add to it. Does anyone know of sources for such thing? Can anyone provide the models of loaders that will fit this tractor so that I can watch the boards? Thanks so much.

Following up on my own question, I've been cautioned about having a loader on a non-power steering tractor. The question is, given that the MF-35 was offered with power steering at that time, can power steering be retrofitted onto a non-p.s. model? Thanks.

I have a 35 Perkins great tractor. If you do not have power steering think twice about a loader. But there is one option you may consider without power steering. Paulson makes a loader that weighs about 400 lbs if I am not mistaken and can lift 800 lbs. It has single action hyd. cyls. so it raises uup under power and lowers under its own weight and has a trip bucket. It costs about $ 1,500.00 a good deal. Over on the Ford 9n board someone added double action cyls to his and to the bucket as well. I would keep it simple and use it as is.
