my info badge is gone off the dash. the shifters have round knobs and there are silver "wings" next to the hood where the headlights are mounted.Does anyone know what year MF changed from round, plain knobs to the labeled ones and when did they stop putting the ornamental "wings" on the headlight posts.

Gregg, if your tractor has a Continental gas engine, log onto the site below. Send them an e-mail message with your complete engine SN and ask them to provide you with the date the engine was manufactured. If it is the original engine, you can guess pretty closely as to when the tractor was built.

The motor is still going to give you a serial number and depending on which side it is and the format. 152U251D - U signifies UK -Top right hand corner of block on later motors - earlier motors the top left hand side of block. I have 2 MF135s both UK built. Early bnt axle has the old format while the straight axle has the later format Later model was built in 1971 I think
