I FOUND A MASSEY FERGUSON 35 THAT THE ENGINE HAS BEEN OVERHAULED, NEW PAINT, METAL, TIE ROD ETC, AND OVER ALL GONE THROUGH AND PARTS REPLACED AS NEEDED. THEY ARE ASKING 4500.00 FOR THE TRACTOR. IS IT WORTH THAT MUCH?

I WISH IT WAS GOLD PLATED....IT HAS A OVER HAULED GAS ENGINE, REBUILT FRONT END, NEW PAINT, FENDER, ETC. VERY CLEAN TRACTOR. I JUST THOUGHT I WOULD ASK EVERY BODY WHAT THEY THOUGHT. I HAVE BEEN SEEING THEM SELL FOR 4000-4800 AROUND THE ST. LOUIS AREA. SO THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS.

Oddly enough, it's worth is only what someone will pay for it. If someone is willing to pay $5,000, then it is worth $5,000. If no one is willing to pay anything, then that's what it is worth. It's a matter of supply and demand. The more important question is, "What is it worth to you?" How much enjoyment, utility, etc. will you get out of it? The way to avoid buyer's remorse is to set a "value-to-you" amount and don't exceed it. It doesn't really matter what some "expert" thinks. You have to be satisfied with the price and the product. The MF 35 is a fine tractor in my book. I pulled one out of the weeds about a year ago have thoroughly enjoyed bringing it back to life. Good lucK, Jim

If it is as good as you say, here they are going for 3500.00 and up last summer I saw one at a dealer that sold for 7000.00. Good luck should make a nice tractor. Northern Missouri kjm

Depends heavily on where you are, then also what engine, etc. I bought a late S/N (1964) MF35 Deluxe, Perkins diesel, about 5000 orchard hours, but overhauled, new paint, new seat cushions, one new front tire, good rubber on the back, a year ago here in Washington for $4250. At first, I thought it was high, but in fact, as I watched the ads, turns out it was not a bad price for around here. I also learned that there was a string of buyers behind me waiting for me to pass. I happened to find it before the seller's ad showed up in the paper.

Now, I wouldn't sell it for what I paid - great tractor!

A check of the price guide on this web site and another on-line price guide suggests the price is too high. You do not provide information on year or which engine, but $3500 seems to be the top end as a fair price. Roger
