Massey 33 valves, seals, keepers

My son in law is assemblying his 33 engine and asked about the seals..got me..is it the keepers that hold the seal in place on the deck..some have grooves that the seal snaps over..this I don't know..your expertise will be appreciated..Mike (Farmall Guy)in Exeter Ontario

if you mean the umbrella seals they just sit there over the valve guide holder they do push on but there is no clamp

Thanks, Marlowe, I am wondering is that all it takes to seal, in other words to prevent oil from seeping down the valve stem?
